Announcing the stricter measures on Tuesday (Apr 21), Minister for National Development Lawrence Wong added: “If you need to go out to buy food, to buy groceries, go out alone. Don’t turn this into an occasion for a family outing.” Details on the restrictions:

Is the real reason behind the entry limit to reduce the spread of the virus? Or could it be Singapore is running out of food supplies?

I'm impressed by the new implementation and happy to hear it but how do u guys going to determine the number of people been infected if you don't have enough test kits to go around for people living in Singapore?

from day 1, lee already underestimated the virus, during his early addressing, he compared the covid19 with flu, as they are totally incomparable , SG today’s situation turning out like this, who should be responsible? everything they do and think of is fine, fine , fine!

Our Death rates are particularly low, maybe NS keeps most of us fitter. Esp CV19 is more gay … and like to affect men more than women.

Hello…. Not only the essential workers are out and about…!! Those seeking for the essential services are too. Not to mention those ppl who exercises and wear no mask. Seriously is exercise an essential? It is not a service but an activity. By choice. Since by choice. Have it implemented. No mask no exercise. Plain and simple. No exemptions. After all isn't the objective to have ppl stay at home, the priority. If need, do it at home.

Please if someone of power reads this, old folks are not controllable. Especially if they are stubborn parents who think they know better. Limit it for all the markets. Just limit as much as possible as there will be people who try to beat the system, abuse it because they cant live without x y z brand of a b c item!!!. Sad to say people seldom learn unless they believe they are at immediate risk of a fine or penalty.

Everyone in Singapore must be serious and play their part in the anti-Covid19 measures. Social distancing, wear face mask, don’t touch touch, wash hands often.

Thou cases are increasing, hopefully there will be no more fatal news and all will be recovered. That is the best Singapore could do. Bless to all people in Singapore.

the circuit breaker is not effective, so high infected cases everyday, even though the majority is FW, but local infected cases still double digits, that means it is spreading in communities, apart from the FW if it doesn’t drop down to single digit , still out of control.

Bullshit … Number infected in dorm and you controlling wet market and community infection.. and best things fine people..what kind of evil mindset is this. Just b honest u can't control the influx of infected in dorm u control community movement… I don't understand what's their control measure… Community spread is getting lower yet u tighten community rules.. bullshit. Too many talk too many useless move. The number increase also from ur dorm which u happily bringing in..good job..Malaysian control even better.

In China to minimize contact, I believe they have community volunteers to deliver goods to blocks. They can cut down marketing 1 person sacrifice for the rest.. Please consider this for a month and harshly lockdown like china. I'm just trying to give examples and ideas for consideration purpose in this serious situation. No need to reply to me. Thank you.

Practical solutions are simple and straightforward

Just limit entry by head count

The main problem are FW. When their contractors somehow corruption and lazy arrangement placing 12+ in single unit and more then 6 dorm.

    20K+ of FW.

See how government going to handle this.

If government mentality keep thinking spread is more through droplets and touching surfaces will sent out wrong message to everyone. People will still keep going out coz everyone thinks wear mask and keep 1 meter they are already safe. This is not true. Virus can transmit through aerosol. Good luck to every one there not wearing masks. Show good example, mask up and stay 'safer' or do it in isolation. Singapore very hard to avoid catching, too densely populated. Most stay in hdb. Doors are about 1m away from neighbours window. Rubbish chute shared. Bad air!
