    5 years ago there were about 2milion people in Latvia now it's just 1.4-1.5 milion, because no one wants to live there anymore

    Very nice video, although cannot agree with mentioned fact about huge illegal logging problem. Actually Latvian forest industry is one of the most regulated from all countries where forests are industrialy used. Also that is not true that main amount of roundwood is sold to neighbouring countries. Actually Latvian us largest pellet producer in Europe, softwood logs are imported from Lithuania, Sweden and Norway for sawnwood production. Large birch plywood and fiber board companies have factories in Latvia. Only large amount of pulpwood is exported due to lack of any pulp and paper mills
